Undercover Boss

I generally detest reality shows. The Bachelor, Survivor, You’re Fired, none of them have anything whatsoever to do with reality, which makes me wonder where the name came from to begin with.
But one I DO love to watch is Undercover Boss. I guess there’s just something about a CEO having to learn what his or her business is REALLY all about, and what it’s like to be one of the workers on the front lines. Having spent 25 years working for corporate America, I know for a fact that too frequently, management spends their time in the ivory halls of corporate headquarters.
Love the quote at the end of tonight’s episode: Dave Rife, CEO of White Castle, said “It’s easy for me to sit behind a desk and make decisions based on numbers. Now every time I see those numbers, I’ll put a face to them” and I wish could actually quote the rest.
